Each device has two main parameters that work as tags as well, Site and Network.

If there is the need to classify the devices with more attributes, other three parameters can be added globally.

Go to Admin→Configuration→Custom Parameters and change the value of the following:

• DEVICE_CUSTOM_TXT_1_NAME to the name of the new attribute
• DEVICE_CUSTOM_TXT_1_VISIBLE to 1

If more parameters are needed apply the same to DEVICE_CUSTOM_TXT_2 and 3.

We wnat to add two more parameters for example, bus and ring in asset management tab. Initially the list of device has the following columns:

Now lets modify the DEVICE_CUSTOMER_TXT attributes as shown:

The result is the following:

NOTE: DEVICE_CUSTOM parameters are used in tags filters.
